Leo’s life went quite normally until he was 16. Born to a wizard father and a muggle mother, he lived in a humble home in London and grew up there in a family that was 1/8th Spanish. He received his Hogwarts letter when he was 11 and was sorted into Hufflepuff at Hogwarts. He had many friends and quite a few girlfriends during his time at school. Leo’s sister, Chiara, was three years younger than him. She was sorted into Gryffindor in when Leo entered fourth year. They loved each other very much and even at school, Leo was always there for her and protected her. Not that she needed it, fiery little thing that she was.
Tragedy struck, however, in the summer between Leo’s sixth and seventh year. Chiara went to see a friend who lived quite nearby but never arrived there. Her family and especially Leo searched high and low for her but they never found her. She had vanished. Even after Leo’s father had asked the wizarding people for help, Chiara wasn’t found.
From then on the family fell apart, all too devastated. Leo’s parents’ marriage slowly fell apart as they grew cold and grew apart in their grief. Leo himself kept to himself in his despair over his beloved sister’s disappearance and for a while simply turned to drinking and womanising during the time he wasn’t spending finishing his school years at Hogwarts. Though Leo eventually pulled himself together again and graduated, he was never quite the same again and took to hiding his darker moments behind a bright demeanour.
During his final year it was recommended that Leo chose a career that focused on spell casting since this was his strongest area of magic and so he chose to become an Obliviator for the Ministry of Magic.

rp example: The pub was packed when Leo pushed his way through the crowd towards the woman that was standing at the bar, waiting to be served. Leo threw one more glance back over his shoulder to the table where his mates were sitting and winked. He got the odd whistle in return but the sound was drowned out in the din all the patrons made. But they knew: Leo was on the pull. And when Leo was on the pull, or so it was told, Leo pulled. It wasn't true, really. He wasn't always that successful in his conquests, but he supposed over the years he'd gained somewhat of a reputation. One which he, in part, owned the tall tales some of his friends and colleagues liked to tell when the drink had been flowing for a few hours.
Leo approached the pretty redhead at the bar just as she was about to pay for her drink.
"Mind if I get that for you?" Leo asked, laying his hand close to hers on the bar, but not touching hers. He didn't want to come on too strong just yet, didn't want to scare her away. He smiled at her, his blue eyes twinkling.
She smiled back at him impishly, if a little taken-aback, but soon agreed. Leo paid for her drink and it was the perfect opening to ask for her name.
