This was her spot. Down here by the lake under a small oak. This was where Chelsea came to be alone, to escape the bedlam that was the school. In fact, she was almost certain that this was what was keeping her sane. With everything that was going on in her life, she needed an escape every now and then. Crowds scared her. She kept imagining everyone whispering about her, about her life and her situation. How broken and frail she was because of what her father did to her. She was a bit paranoid perhaps, but try telling that to the thoughts in her head.
She had discovered this little spot in the second week of her first year here. She was not used to this new environment and she was terrified, her little eleven year old mind going crazy at all the new thoughts an information. She was finally away from her home and her father, but still, she felt anything but safe. She trusted no one and as a result, spoke to no one. As a result, she had very little friends, but in some way, that was alright. Though, she really wished she had someone to talk to.
So it was here that she felt the most safe. Still, some company would be lovely. If only she was worth it.....

lavigna . eliora . lestrange ;;get what i want 'cause i ask for it not because i'm really that deserving of it;;
Lavigna burst through the front doors of the castle in hot pursuit of the glass orb that was meant to be her charms project and was currently hurtling towards the lake at breakneck speed. Their assignment had been to charm and object to follow back and forth along an invisible path throughout the castle. Lavigna had been fine, at first. She’d mapped out the path, made sure it could not be detected by anyone and had bewitched a glass orb she’d found one day to follow along it. Unfortunately, she must have done something wrong because once at the end of the path, the orb hadn’t stopped but continued on its unplanned way by its own volition.
Annoyed, Lavigna had taken off after it. She hated the rare occasions when her magic went wrong. She was not used to failing and found it a hard thing to tolerate. But for now, she had a bigger problem on her hands because an out-of-whack object was liable to cause some damage or injury. Thankfully, there weren’t that many people out in the grounds, currently.
Lavigna ran across the lawn, keeping an eye on her runaway object as the lake came into view. Unfortunately, the area around the lake wasn’t completely vacant. Lavigna could see a girl in the distance, by its shore.
“Watch out!” Lavigna yelled pre-emptively and seconds later watched as her glass orb missed the girl by an inch and rocketet into the lake with a splash.
Lavigna jogged up next to the girl, a little out of breath, and stared at the ripples on the water’s surface, chagrined. After a moment, she turned to the girl.
“I’m sorry,” Lavigna said. "That was my charms project.” And Lavigna’s expression should have been enough of an explanation that it had not gone as planned.
