Ruby is the second child of the Morgan family, born about three years after her older brother Hunter. She was born on a lovely day in September, but sadly her muggle mother Pheobe died in the process. So she has no idea who her mom but she often looks at her photographs and apparently looks like her, according to her dad.
Ruby grew up hearing stories of Hogwarts from her father and she was very curious to know what house she would placed in. The place seemed very exciting to her, and of course her brother wrote letters to her as well which made her grow anxious also.
Her father has been dating a very nice lady recently, Ruby likes her. She is a witch just like her. She has taken her shopping for her school supplies. Ruby adores the woman, but she has no idea how her brother feels about her.

Holding the body of a grey/silver cat, Ruby Morgan could barely contain her smile. She literally felt like her face would fall off if she even attempted to keep a straight face. She was just bursting with joy. Viola, her father's girlfriend, had just taken her to Magical Menagerie and helped her buy her first pet. Rather than having the cat in a cage or a carrier, she demaned that she would carry the young feline home.
"Thank you so much Viola!" Ruby said happily, readjusting her hold on Ivan. Yes it was a boy, Viola had told her that. And yes, she named the cat Ivan. Why Ivan? He simply looked like an Ivan. Just like she looked like Ruby. Duh. "I can't wait to show dad!"
"You're welcome Ruby. He is acutally an early birthday present for you." Viola said to her with a smile on her face. "Why don't we take Ivan home and then finish your shopping and get some ice cream?"
Ruby wasn't going to argue with that idea one bit. She wouldn't want to carry Ivan around all day if she had to try on robes or anything else. What if he tore them up with his claws? Then it would have been pointless really. And she did not want cat fur in her ice cream! "Okay"
